Alderney Rec

Phase Two of the project is complete; the fishing lake is stocked, seating and litter bins have been installed, wildflowers & spring bulbs planted.  Information boards are now being produced. 

The Rec has also been renamed 'Bourne Valley Park'

Change of name

Bourne Valley Park MAD Day 2007

Diary note - Saturday 27th October - this year's 'Make A Difference Day' at Alderney.  We will be bulb planting (daffodils & crocus) through the Woodland Walk, shrub planting on the Viewpoint and doing a litter pick of the site.  Join us?  Meet at the end of Turbary Close at 1:00 p.m.  We finish at 4:00 p.m.  Tea & cakes provided for those taking part.

Bourne Valley Youth Centre

The Bourne Valley Youth Centre car park has been transformed into a haven for local young people.

Installation of the new and much needed play area was completed in May and opened by the Mayor, Cllr Jeff Allen in June 2007.

Alderney Community Lunch

Wednesday, 7th December 2007

12:30 - 2.00pm

at Alderney Manor Community Centre, at the corner of Herbert Avenue & Berkeley Avenue

The lunch will be based around local groups and what they have achieved this year.

Lou Knight from the Turlin Moor Action Group will give a short presentation of their activities during 2007.

Catch up with what's happening in Alderney or bring your own news/concerns.  Enjoy a cuppa and a sandwich, meet neighbours & make new friends.
